our roots

This is not your average ‘Mickey Mouse’, fly by the seat of our pants establishment and we DON’T create digital or Ai generated “art”. Please don’t be fooled by those who claim to have painted something… they just want to sell you an image without any discipline or effort. I take pride in creating art with my own hand using traditional methods of pencil and oil paints in the classical academic renaissance style of the masters. I have studied and practiced for many years in the craft to be able to paint and create at this level and I am still learning and improving. I don’t think you can ever “arrive” at a final mastery in painting but to be able to continue to grow and progress… that’s the true blessing and joy in doing what I do. My paintings sometimes take many months or years to complete. Some still sit unfinished 15 years later.

I started drawing as soon as I could hold anything that would make a mark. My first paid commissions were in second grade drawing a series of airplanes for another student in my class. He paid me 25 cents per drawing. Several years ago I ran into a class mate from that same second grade class working at the DMV in Provo, Utah. She asked me to come back to pick up my new drivers license and when I showed up the following week she shared with me a drawing I had done for her soo many years before. She still had it! I am constantly blown away by the experiences I have been blessed with because of my love for the arts. To create a drawing for what I thought would sell well only to find out that it was intended for a completely different purpose is quite humbling and overwhelming. We CAN uplift and make a difference in peoples lives through our talents and abilities… we just need to be willing to take the journey and share them. I thank you for taking the time to visit my website and for your interest in my art. It is quite an honor to be able to do something I love soo much and to be able to create something that you might love too and that quite possibly has meaning in your life. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
